As each year, The Tiffin Box, School Enterprise Challenge arrives again with enthusiasm at The British Co-Ed High School, Patiala. The event was inaugurated by the Founder Principal, Ms. Rosa Kucharskyj on 28^th July, 2017. The School Enterprise Challenge, an initiative of the British Council, aims at creating groups of globally aware and socially responsible young entrepreneurs. The competition supports students to gain hands-on experience of what it is like to run a real business. The Tiffin Box is one of the major attraction and the profit earned from it goes to charity for the community girls. In the Tiffin Box food items are prepared hygienically by the students under the guidance of teachers while maintaing maximum nutritive value. The menu for the inaugural day was Coleslaw Sandwich and Sprout Salad. Tuck shop is looking forward to some of the healthy mouth watering meals in the upcoming weeks. We wish our budding entrepreneurs all the success.

The Tiffin Box Enterprise engaged the students in different tasks varying from taking orders, procuring material, cooking to selling the Kathi Rolls. The students’ response to this was enthusiastic and encouraging. The orders from students of class IX to XII came in large numbers and the buyers were appeased by the delightsome edibles.

The Tiffin Box Enterprise is now entering the Real World. Shares for Rs. 10/- will be issued to the general public in order to raise capital for this business enterprise. In return, the dividend (profit) of 10% will be provided annually to shareholders. Share’s investment is a method of increasing awareness about business enterprise amongst students. They will learn how to earn, using their money wisely while being involved in something they enjoy.
